MMA and Fight Movies

 Fight movies are a stamp of the Martial Arts movie cinema, the first tourament based fight film I saw was Bruce Lee in "Enter The Dragon" about 20 years later, Van Damme uped-the-ante and revamped the genre with the release of BLOOD SPORT in the early 1980's by the late 80's the sport of MMA began to take off and now we have an explosion of MMA movies popping up from everywhere. These movies generally are very lo-budget and as with the Kick-boxing era of cinema these movies breed fighters turned Actors/ which is'nt always a good thing and most of these films have plots or stories that run the same and are usually legal competition based or illegally based underground tournaments like, pit-fighting and often times they fight to the death. One note to mention is how the modern day MMA fighters look in statue and dress............. like Bruce Lee did in the opening fight scene with Sammo Hung in the movie "ENTER THE DRAGON".
