I took it from viewing Kickboxer 3  that the filmmakers are running out of ideas. I did love the exotic and authentic Brazilian scenery and music.  Sasha Mitchell returns as kickboxer David Sloan and continues to fight exhibitions from time to time as he did in the second Kickboxer movie.but in this installment he goes to Rio with mentor and gym partner Xian Chow (played again by the wonderfully talented Dennis Chan in sadly his last American film) to compete in a match versus the deadly Eric Martine, played with some mancing velocity by kickboxer Ian Jacklin. Once there they befriend a young boy and his sister living on the streets. When the promoter of David's championship rival Frank (Richard Comar)  turns out to be a pimp he steals the boy's sister due to the value of virgins.  Yeah, definitely diminishing. This is the only entry in the series without an appearance from Tong Po (one of the most badass characters ever put on screen, in my opinion!) This time he encounters his rivals fight promoter that wishes to make money regardless of the cost , After seeing how good Sasha is, he kidnaps him and prepares to work him to the brink of exhaustion so that he will be unable to win a planned fight against one of the promoters main fighters. The plan seems sound. Every method of work is used. In one scene a backpack filled with rocks is worn as Sasha runs up a hill. Afterwords he is offered a drink of lemonade and immediately throws it in the promoters face with the response "thanks I needed that." Even after being worked to the brink of exhaustion our hero of the film still manages to win the match rather quickly and easily, save the girl and wait! then theres the ending shootout? Well, the movie has nice scenery, good music, decent acting, some good action, a decent plot and some nice eye candy.
