Kick Boxing Movies

Kick-Boxing was a very popular sport in the U.S. and thru out the world in the 1980's and Kick-Boxing films dominated the 1980's and 90's. "Jean Claude Van Damme" kick-started a trend with his 1989 release of KICK BOXER, that movie sent filmakers into a frenzy to make the next Kick Boxing hit film. There were dozens and dozens made, most were badly made from lo-end productions but some were really good. "Chuck Norris" and many others stepped into the game, as did other kickBoxers turned filmakers and actors like "Don the dragon Wilson" The genre as a whole had kinda died out around 2000, but was re-juvenated with a newcomer to the scene, a complete unknown to the world of Martial Arts cinema.... Tony Jaa in a film called "Ong-Bak: The Thai Warrior" this was his breakout film performance and it grew like wildfire thru the martial arts community, made in Thailand the movie was a smash hit and it pumped new blood into an almost dead genre in Martial Arts cinema and the Kick Boxing Community.
